From 101 take the Stinson Beach/Mill Valley exit and follow Highway 1 north.

It will take about 45 minutes to get to Stinson Beach, on a curvy scenic road.

Drive straight through Stinson and follow Highway 1 along the lagoon.

Directly after the lagoon ends, take the first left turn. This is an unmarked turn so keep your eyes open. You will reach a T and turn left again onto Olema-Bolinas Rd. The Locals have taken down the Bolinas 2 Mile sign.

Then you will go around the other side of the lagoon and come to another T -- turn left onto Horseshoe Hill Rd, there will be a plant nursery on the corner to your left.

You will pass a school and drive up a little hill. Go straight at the stop sign. As you come into Bolinas, make a right turn after the lumber yard onto Brighton Avenue.

Brighton Avenue will dead-end at Brighton Beach.

Before you reach the beach you will see the 2 Mile Surf Shop located at 22 Brighton, behind the Post Office. This is where you will check in for your lesson and receive the gear you need.

Once you have checked in for your lesson you can walk to the beach from the 2 Mile Surf Shop.

It takes about 45 minutes to an hour from the Golden Gate bridge if there is no traffic. If your lesson is on a weekend you should give yourself at least an extra ½ hour to compensate for traffic. Please note, 2 Mile Surf Shop does not have a restroom. Please alow an extra 15 minits prior to your surf lesson if you will need to use the public restrooms at the beach.

Reserved parking for some Bolinas Surf Lessons students is available at the 2 Mile Surf Shop.

Please note, to be courteous to other students and instructors and to ensure safety: Students who are more than 20 minutes late for private lessons and 10 minutes late for group classes will miss their lesson and will be charged the full lesson rate.
